dc.description59 Minutes in the Maxwell Suite is a two-act science fiction play, written by John Bandler. The first of a trilogy and set in the dystopic near-future, 59 Minutes explores themes of digital dystopia, religious terrorism, and technology ethics. Subsequent stage plays in the trilogy are That the Multitude May Live (2012) and The Trial of Naomi Verne (2014). This October 30, 2012 version is 46 pages. The play was staged for Hamilton Fringe Festival at the Downtown Arts Centre Studio (July 14-24, 2011) and directed by Tom Mackan. Fact or illusion, in the frenzied swirl of allegation and revelation, Luton’s plan for her survival unfolds—to begin with, Naomi must forsake her identity.en_US
