dc.description.abstract<p>The solution formalism of the closed-form analysis for nuclear reactor transients is investigated in this study. This method of analysis is applied to two one-dimensional test problems, namely, (1) a homogeneous slab and (2) a space dependent problem of the CANDU type. The numerical results have identified some of the characteristics as well as the numerical difficulties associated with the closed-form analysis. Some possible areas for improvements and modifications to the method are suggested.</p>en_US
