Abstract

The research presented in this thesis concerns the diel activity rhythm of the meadow vole, Microtus Pennsylvanicus pennsylvanicus Ord, as shown under laboratory conditions. In the course of the investigations a general survey was made of rhythmic behaviour in the animal kingdom.
