Abstract
The birthplace of Aphrodite (Cyprus) and the Greek islands in the Aegean have very long history going back to the dawn of the Bronze Age.It was followed by the arrival of Greek settlers, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and the modern Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Cyprus. The islands attract a lot of tourists for their sun-drenched beaches and picturesque landscapes.
