| dc.description.abstract |
Tests on six composite open-web steel joists and concrete slabs with ribbed metal decking are described. The joists spanned 50 ft. and were loaded by two symmetrical point loads. Different types of shear connectors and different degrees of connection were used. Tests results are shown and compared with analytical results obtained from elastic theories. An ultimate strength design method is proposed.
| en_US |
