Abstract

An intensive two-day course covering state-of-the-art techniques for nonlinear optimization with applications in computer-aided engineering. This course was intended for engineers and scientists to improve their knowledge of MMIC design and gain practical experience in the use of optimization systems.

Course notes and advertisement for a Short Course given at the Department of Electromagnetic Theory and Engineering, Duisburg University, Duisburg, Germany. The course was delivered by John W. Bandler and S.H. Chen on October 4 and 5, 1994. Course notes contain original material supplemented by previously published materials.
