Study of Farmland Loss in Central Ontario 1951-1971

Abstract

<p> In this investigation, a model is developed to explain the loss of farmland to other uses in Central Ontario in the period 1951-1971. Furthermore, it attempts to identify the socio-economic characteristics of operators involved in the loss of farmland process, as well as ascertaining the factors responsible for the change in land use.</p>
