Grounded in Sikolohiyang Pilipino and a critical feminist lens, this study explores the narratives of second-generation Filipino children of care workers in the GTHA with an autoethnographic, narrative approach. This exploration was conducted with curiosity and care in hopes of not just learning more about second-generation Filipino Canadian youth but bringing forward Filipino ontologies, epistemologies, and methodologies to challenge neoliberal, Eurocentric knowledge production. The findings reveal identity, familial relationships, and a deep understanding of care work as integral pieces in second-generation Filipino identity and care work experiences while encouraging further reflexive discussion on how identity navigation, storytelling, and policies within the care work context impact future children of care workers. In connection with personal reflections as an MSW student, this study evokes a basket metaphor to emphasize the importance of meaningful storytelling, challenge traditional knowledge production, and make culturally informed research contributions rooted in lived experiences.en_US
