dc.description.abstract	<p>The crystal structures of the high temperature phase of Cu2P2O7 has been refined by the method of least squares. The structure of the low temperature from was refined using both of the allowed space groups and the centric space group C2/c is preferred. Diffuse streaks which were found to be associated with the phase transformation were analyzed and used to construct a pseudo one dimensional order-disorder model for the mechanism of the phase transformation. Also the lattice parameters of α-Zn2P2O7 have been measured and the structure has been refined using the non-centric space group Ic.	en_US
