dc.description.abstract
An attempt has been made in this thesis to analyse critically the notion of implication in the logical works of Bertrand Russell. An exposition of Russell's notion of implication is presented in one part, and in another part, the author discusses various substantive issues that are raised by Russell's treatment of implication. Besides the discussion of certain philosophical problems , the author has tried to understand Russell's notion of implication in terms of a developmental study in the history of logic.
en_US
