Abstract

The candidate has examined Roger Lemelin's trilogy, Au pied de la pente douce, Les Plouffe and Pierre le Magnifique from a sociological point of view. In this study, he has attempted ta determine to what ectent the French-Canadian novelist' s criticisms of his own society reflects his concern to show its imperfections.
