Leveraging artificial intelligence for digital transformation: A comprehensive guide for Business Improvement Areas

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the strategic op rations of Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) offers transformative potential to enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and foster community engagement. This research explores the current strategic planning practices of BIAs, identifies opportunities for AI adoption, and examines the benefits and challenges of implementation. Using qualitative methods including interviews, discourse analysis, and focus group feedback, the study develops a comprehnsive guidebook designed to support BIAs in leveraging AI for digital transformation. The findings highlight the importance of balancing technological innovation with human-centric approaches to ensure AI adoption aligns with stakholder values and organizational goals.
