dc.description.abstractThis Thesis deals with the analytical and experimental study of budding strength of thin walled channel struts of different cross sections. The influence of geometry of tho cross section on the strength has been studied with the aid of the electronic computer. Tho experimental work consist ed of testing different types of channels of thin sheeting to destruction. Conclusions have been drawn item theso tests, and suggestions for further rosearch have been cade. Tho Appendix includes sample calculations for geometrical characteristics of the sectionsen_US
