dc.description.abstract	It is a pleasure to acknowledge my indebtedness to Eiy research supervisor, Professor B. Banaschevrski, for his assistance in the preparation of this thesis. In particular I an indebted to him for the suggestion of the problem (EA) and for his constructive criticisms which led me to formulate the concept of a process.
