dc.description.abstract | This paper studies the mathematical modeling of an electrohydrostatic actuator (EHA) for the purpose of fault detection and diagnosis. A relatively new model-based fault detection strategy referred to as the interacting multiple model and smooth variable structure filtering method (IMM-SVSF) is applied on an experimental apparatus. The results of this application are compared with the popular Kalman filter based strategy (IMM-KF), and recommendations are made for future research. © 2012 AACC American Automatic Control Council). | - |
