dc.description.abstractThe metabolism of iodide was investigated in the adult amphibian, Amphiuma means using an adaptation of a standard clinical radio-iodine technique. The thyroid uptake of I131 after intraperitoneal injection of a tracer does was linear on arithmetic plotting for seven days. The uptake then increased to a pronounced peak at seven days.en_US
