| Abstract: | A frequency response tracer technique was used to study the hydraulic properties of a laboratory flow through reactor with variations in reactor size, flow rate and applied mixing. At any one set of conditions the reactor was studied over a range of input sine wave frequencies. Theoretical models consisting of in-series networks of completely mixed segments, plug flow segments, and dead space allowances were developed to approximate the experimental findings. |
