dc.description.abstract<p>A combined experimental and theoretical investigation was carried out with neutron scattering samples to study the effect of scattering on the edge spread function.</p> <p>A physically based mathematical formulation of the neutron processes in radiographic specimen in which scattering is dominant was found to be in good agreement with experimental results. In addition to full integral description for the edge-spread function, a generalized Lorentzian function has been proposed as an alternative method of analysis.</p>en_US
