dc.description.abstract | <p>The purpose of this thesis is to show how the religious thought of John Strachan formed the foundation of his social and politicalthought. This study is confined to an examination of Strachan's sermons written over a period of sixty-three years, from 1803-1866. The thesis begins with a presentation of Strachan's thoughts on God and proceeds to a discussion of his ideas on the relationship between God and man. The remainder of the thesis examined the social and political implications with arise from this relationship.</p> | en_US |
