Abstract: <p>This paper describes a probabalistic model of attribution processes which integrates correspondent inference theory, Kelley's theories and the work of several other theorists . The model provides a conceptual framework for attribution theory and adds precision to the meaning of several of its basic concepts. Implications for future research are drawn from it .</p>
