Abstract: |
Despite its considerable appeal, the Resource Based View of the firm as currently articulated is inadequate for the job of explaini ng transnational technology strategy, although it does explain some phenomena. Its explanatory power can be significantly increased through the inclusion of a resource por tfolio perspective and by the acknowledgement that imitation as well as the pursuit of the unique can be a viable resource strategy.
|
