Abstract: | This study used information from the 2013 Canadian Forces Mental Health Survey to examine how experiencing abuse in childhood and/or traumatic events during military deployments influence mental health and suicide behaviours among Canadian military personnel. The study also examined whether relationships between child abuse, deployment trauma, mental disorders, and suicide behaviours were different for male compared to female military personnel. |
