dc.description.abstractIt is a travelogue retracing the footsteps of the writer who interpreted Japanese culture, Lafcadio Hearn. He was born in Greece, grew up in Ireland, went to school in England and France, emigrated to the USA, lived for two years in Martinique and moved to Japan at age of 40. He became famous for his writings about Japanese legends, folktales and traditions of his adopted country. The travelogue includes snippets of history of the various countries and locations.en_US
