Abstract: <p> This thesis deals with the theory and application of semi-conductor detectors to timing measurements. The theory section discusses the charge collection times in the coaxial detector. The third chapter describes the experimental procedure for the γ-γ coincidence work, and the fourth part reports the results of studies of the timing characteristics of the coaxial detector.</p>
