Title: Burlington An Urban study, Author: John A. McCallum, Location: Thodeen_US
The town of Burlington, located at the southwestern corner of Lake Ontario {see Figure 1), has for the past fifteen years been growing at a startling rate. Startling, for in this brief period of time the population has roughly tripled. Noted just a few years ago for its farms and orchards, the town has in recent years become a beehive of residential, commercial and industrial activity. What factors have been responsible for this transition? How has it taken place? How have these factors affected the pattern of man's life in Burlington? It is the purpose of the following chapters to examine and to answer these questions.en_US
