Keywords: flexural vibrations;non-linear spring;shaft;rotor;stability analysis
Publication Date: Jun-1971
Abstract:
Flexural vibrations of a shaft mounted at each end on a non - linear spring have been studied. Theoretical analysis is carried out for the cubic non-linear spring.

The effect of mountirig of a heavy rotor on the shaft has been considered. The stability analysis of the system is also given in the theoretical analysis.
