dc.description.abstract |
This dissertation is a theorefical investigation of simultaneous free and forced convection for flow around a sphere or cylinder. This involved a numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes and energy equations by finite difference methods. To this end faster computational techniques were developed. A large number of solutions were computed permitting a significant extension of fluid-mechanical data available in the literature.
| en_US |
