Asher (Lemble) ben Jacob Weyl is mentioned 20 times between 1649 and 1681. He died around 1671. His designation in the Stühlingen family tree is 'R1.1.1'. His father was Jacob (Jäggelin) ben Judah Weyl.
Lemble`s descendancy is documented by [R1771; 11.18.1649] and [R1866; 01.15.1652]. His wife was `Scheinel [R867; 02.18.1688]. Lemble was under protection from 1679 to 1730. He made his livelihood mainly by money lending. But he also dealt in nails [R112; 01.01.1695], cloth, soap, silk and linen [R113; 01.01.1695], as well as ribbons [R128; 01.01.1696] . In 1660 he was fined for selling white wine [R3809; 02.06.1660]. It appears that his protection was cancelled in1717 [D2343; 09.29.1717], and he is reported as having moved away at Easter 1718 [D2344; 04.17.1718]. Never the less, he appears back on the protection list by St. Michael`s that same year [D2345; 09.29.1718]. Maybe, somebody intervened on his behalf. A daughter was mentioned in 1724 [R754; 06.02.1724] . .
